The archive consists of a corpus of 236 thematic files comprising press clippings, bibliographical excerpts, drafts, notes, handwritten or typewritten manuscripts, letters and photographs. Each file has a number and comprehensive listing. The generous content documents the research process that nourished Barbu Brezianu's writings, especially his major work on Constantin Brancusi. In addition to materials related to Constantin Brancusi, files include documents on Barbu Brezianu's activity as a researcher at the Institute of Art History, such as reports on his scientific activity, travel accounts, reviews on art history publications required by various publishing houses, letters of recommendation for Romanian art historians. A selection of documents is scanned and accessible on line. The file listings thematically classified are available on-line as well.
